Is this question for real? Respect were it is due. Yes Babyface has written some 'decent' songs. However, Babyface and his like symbolise what is wrong with contemporary modern 'soul' music, they have taken away the soul - and replaced it with sub-'urban'.

What's the point of even asking this question here? This is a Prince board, what do you expect? I mean, are you going to go to a Babyface site (are there any?), and ask who's better: Babyface or Prince? What do you expect, an unbiased discussion? Why don't you try some general music discussion site, and try the question there? Oh yeah, and for my biased vote, PRINCE.

I don't know what he has produced recently, so that's probably why the question is being asked.
