I think in three instances there are anti intoxication messages in the album :-

a) ‘Musicology’ :- No intoxication unless you see what I see….

b) ‘If I was the man in your life’ :- ‘Was that you I saw outside the liquor store…never thought I would see a drop of spirit ever bring you down…

c) ‘Dear Mr. Man’ :- ‘Who told me Mr Man that working around the clock will buy me a big house in the ‘hood with cigarette ads on every block ?

Reminds me of that scene in Purple Rain when Appolonia and him are standing under the bridge and Appolonia tries to drink from her side flask and he says…Don’t drink that.
He is trying to teach good things to the kids.
