the song mr man

i was just curious on how some of interpret the lyrics of this song. when he sings who says killings not a sin it started every war that your people been in.

my question is this? who is people. usa , christians, muslims, ..... who.

It's called 'Dear Mr Man'!!

It's a letter addressed to 'man' as in 'the human race'. Not 'Dear Mr Muslim' or 'Dear Mr Christian'.

If the description fits, it refers: so, if someone says 'To kill is a sin' and then kills or condones killing, then the line refers to them, regardless of their faith etc..
