Prince in the UK Times

There is a nice picture of Prince (B&W though) from the recent tour in today's Times (People section).

The text underneath reads "Prince, 45, on a farewell tour (again) will have a concert in New York transmitted simultaneously on five channels tonight, which might make him wonder if he really is ready to retire"

Boy, sounds like they really got their facts straight... "farewell tour" and "will have a concert in New York transmitted on five channels" and "retire"?? Hopefully this isn't the norm for the UK. And I thought the USA media was bad!

edit: for those who don't see well

You have a problem with the word concert ?
That's the correct term for what you guys call a "show".
Lemmy, Bowie, Prince, Leonard. RIP.

Phil

The Times is pretty much the best newspaper in the UK.

That's really poor reporting though.

Its a good paper, but it was part of a 'People' column, and usually columns are not as fact checked as the main NEWS.
Its good that he's getting the coverage though!

The way they wrote it, sounds like it'll be a live concert transmission. "Pre-televised" woulda been more accurate.
