that's an extreme alternative, but so be it.

I think it's brilliant...I don't even mind the Bob-George voice of God, too much.

Plus, there's brilliant stuff on there, like:

She Loves Me 4 Me (nice song)
Family Name (brilliant guitar)
The Everlasting Now (which sounds so good live)
Last December (brilliant guitar)

I couldn't get into any of that shit. And there's nothing like the Bob George of the early days. There was character in that character. It went terribly wrong in TRC.

to each his own.

he wasn't TRYING to be like Bob George of the old days. Bob George was humourous, this was a serious narrative. I suppose the notion of it being a little religious and you being Evil wouldn't have anything to do with it, though, would it?

jesus some people have VERY different taste. I don't know how emancipation ends up so high with you, yet the vault which has some great playing and songs, as do come, trc and news are at the bottom? amazing.

Yes, my tastes are different, but isn't that what makes Prince fans unique? His fans cross so many different boundaries. To be fair to you, I didn't listen to Vault or Rainbow Children very much, maybe if I'd listened more they would have grown on me....but it wasn't my cup of tea. And as far as Emancipation goes....sure it has some crappy tracks on it...we all know that. But the reason it cracks my top three is because it was his return to his REAL sound...after all those crappy ones he put out just to appease the label. I was happy to see Prince happy again doing the kind of music that HE WANTED to do. Peace
