Does Prince really notice U ?? Really...Just curious. When U are in the crowd, let's just say, with a nice banner put up 4 him 2 see, or is waving, or is dancing .....does he notice U?? If so, does that distract him? Does he ever wave back or wink or smile at U?? Really...I do wonder.
If he does, has he ever happen 2 pay attention 2 U , or notice U??

If he does, how long do u think he remembers? A second, if that? Then he's on to the next person to notice. I've had a couple cool moments like that, but I try not to give it more value than what it is was worth -- just for the moment.

I dont know about Prince but I know Mayte noticed me once...I doubt she still thinks about me tho.
After many great gigs on teh tour I was in the front row (Thank you Controversy Fanclub!!!)at what was meant to be the last date of the UK leg of Gold Experience Tour...I must have got the Wild Sign pumping a bit more vigourously than normal and she looked at me, nodded in approval and smiled/giggled....she wanted me I think thats why their marriage went down hill

Prince has the memory span of a goldfish - that's why he's always so energetic in concert. Every few minutes he has a moment of "holy crap, I'm on a stage putting on a show!"
That's why he thinks time is a trick...because he can't remember past five minutes ago. Think about it!!!

i don't think so, not individually. i think he's aware of faces in the crowd but more aware of the crowd as a whole. even at the parties he never seemed to me to be truly 'mingling' with the crowd, more like surveying us or observing us generally and our reactions to his music

Well, Im can tell you for sure that he noticed the orgs very own monte at the Sydney concerts last year.
He spotted him and his wild dancing at the soundcheck then during the concert he picked him out of the crowd from about 10 rows back to get on the stage and dance. I think he notices more than we give him credit for. When I read about the evils of drinking, I gave up reading.

I assume so. Redfeathers once told me she was at a ONA gig with her head tilted to one side and just listening to Prince and the band playing. Apparently Prince mimicked her by tilting his head in a similar fashion. Bless her/him!

I feel sorry for anyone who feels the need to seek out notice from him.
That said, he knows some of our local hardcore fams by name. At a soundcheck he greeted a couple of folks he remembered from Celebration. Another of the gals has been onstage at just about every show I saw here. I even saw her up there with him at the LA show simulcast- he was leaning against her playing guitar. You better wake up, Stella. This is my town!

Interesting topic.
I was at an afterparty in Baltimore (actually, the party was in Laurel, MD..the show was in Baltimore), and when he and his crew arrived, of course the crowd went nuts. He didn't wave or pick out anyone in general, but he pretty much waved in the direction of some folks. "'Prince is crazy' -- I knew what people were saying," he says. "When I became a symbol, all the writers were cracking funnies, but I was the one laughing. I knew I'd be here today, feeling each new album is my first."

I'll say it again... A few years back on his website u could submit a question and he would answer them. I asked if he ever recognized his diehard admirers while performing b 4 a live audience. Particulary California? He responded with a yes but that he recognized more ppl from Chicago and London. I no that when I have seen him live he loox are way several times in a show. I have a pretty wife!!! klick

i think he must notice people, just like you notice someone in a crowd of people. now, i don't think he goes home and thinks "hmm, i wonder what the girl in the 1st row on my left side is doing now." i mean, i've had experiences at shows where prince has motioned at me or even said something to me but ol' boy was not tryin' to get me a record deal after the show, lol.

Yes, if you stand out from the crowd. Perhaps all the Rainbow Children can be identified by glowing halos above their heads?

I'm sure he didn't notice me even when I got to touch his hand at the concert
At the aftershow Mani was videoing the gig and I was waving at her so she filmed me while waving back. I'm sure she erased that part (if I hadn't cracked the lens of her camera with my ugly face already!

I don't like to think that because it sounds so stalkerish.
But there have been times. Only cuz I sing VERY LOUDLY.

One night at Paisley Park I came into the Love4OneAnother room and happened to spot him instantly behind the sound board, but he was looking my way as well and locked eyes with me for a few seconds. He probably thought I was armed or something because I had my black trenchcoat on and could be used for hiding weaponry. He later came down on the floor into the crowd and stood almost right next to me as we were watching someone dancing on the stage, so everything was cool.
Another time I was out there back in '95, he screwed up one of the lines to "Now" and then commented on this person who was wearing one of those "Cat in the Hat" type hats, saying "That's a big hat!" Maybe noticing this person made him lose his concentration on the song. NCC2012... your local Trekkie. =/\=

Prince mingled right next to us while we partied at Paisley Park! Many times he'd walk right by us. I didn't have a chance to catch my breath to tell you. But he stood there between us plenty of times. The problem might have been that U always wore those sunglasses while U were dancing in the dimly light love4oneanotherroom He may not know us 'individually' but i would guess he might remember who never stopped dancing. I thought it was, but then you have had to point to very certain, very important points that somehow i've missed before. And Thanks, but in this case i do believe what Prince has done in the past and probably might do in the present or future, is called "mingling." Check w/Websters and get back 2/me.

...that's true, just as when you're standing before some people making a speech, there's always some people that stand out, if someone mentions, one recalls who some of your audience was. It just looks like when you're on stage performing, there's a lot things going though the mind, making sure everything is all right, that what I sort of got from that. If he does, has he ever happen 2 pay attention 2 U , or notice U?? may not since aren't stage lights really bright? like maybe he can see a bright light infront of him and just a bunch of people's heads in shadows. ?? I really like spicy food. I mostly put Jalapenos on a lot of my food.

for shizzle.. he notices me all the time at concerts. One time I was even invited for a cuppa tea after the concert. It was great. Among other things, we debated politics and the org. He had loads to say about politics but nothing to say about the org. I think he hinted that some orgers should get a real life or something.... oh well and there it is

I remember an 'incident' in Minneapolis back in 1991 at The Fine Line Cafe - I was there with some friends, and he showed up second night in a row.
He noticed my friend, a leggy, beautiful blonde and there was a moment when everyone at our table froze when we realised WHO he was checking out. It was borderline surreal really. Anyway, let's just say that my friend spoke with Prince a number of times on the phone during the ensuing hours, and by dinner time the next day she was waiting 4 him at Paisley Park, where he arrived in his yellow BMW 2 pick her up. She said he was an absolute gentleman, opened the door 4 her, kept cracking jokes, and smelt wonderful. He also asked her if she wanted 2 hear 'a new song' - she said sure, and he played her 'Sweet Baby'. He asked her if she liked it, and if she would like 2 hear it again. Before she had time 2 answer he said she didnt have a choice anyway, and laughed before cueing it up again. I mentioned 2 her later that it's a POSSIBILITY that he may have recorded that 4 her that previous nite - maybe not, but it's a nice thought all the same, as we know he's more than capable of it and has done so before. So that song's become pretty special 2 her since. That's all I can say really - Ill ask her if I can write more when I return home...
