The Dance Electric It's been a long time since I've heard this song, so I downloaded it today...sounds good.
I thought this was Andre Cymone's song, but listening to it today, it sounds like P. It's it P's song and was this a b-side single..because I don't recall it being on an album? | |

The Dance Electric demo is in circulation with Prince's vocals. It was never officially released by anyone but Andre Cymone. If prince.org were to be made idiot proof, someone would just invent a better idiot. | |

This is really wierd, but I was just singing this song a few minutes ago. I think P sang on the original w/Andre. I would LOVE to hear the demo w/Prince's vocals. Anyone have it?

I'm running a thread that's concerning this song. but for right now, it is a P song and it was on Andre's 1985 album. P's voice is on with A's. It was the first single off the album. Great song. This is one of my fav unreleased Prince tracks. The "demo" version is all Prince. I don't even listen 2 AC's version, which is probably mostly Prince. According 2 the famous MTV interview (1986?), Prince walked up 2 AC in a club, and said "I gotta hit 4 U" or something... Peace. G "He's a musician's musician..." |

No.."The Dance Electric" was on Dre's AC album (his third solo album), not survivin' in the 80's (his second solo album). And "Kelly's Eyes" was off of his first album "Livin' in the New Wave". Andre's version sounds better to me... His voice is so close to Prince's that it doesn't even matter that it's not Prince. Everything else is...with background vocals by Wendy & Lisa to boot. If you don't listen too closely you can't even tell  Get Andre's and enjoy it...
