For me, it has to be "Let´s Go Crazy" or "Sign 'O' The Times".
See the man with the blue guitar, maybe one day he`ll be a star...

'Christopher Tracy's Parade'. It sounds like being repeatedly hit over the head with a tin tray whilst an orchestra tunes up. It feels like jumping out of a plane.

Prince may be the purple Yoda, but Wendy & Lisa and Eric Leeds also sit on the Jedi Council.

"Mountains" -- the drum pattern for that, with the tons of reverb -- makes the coming onslaught of musical bliss sound downright huge and cavernous. Listen to it with headphones or a pumped sound system. It sounds HUGE!

"17 Days" -- That double-hand tapping on the bass (Prince or Mark? Always wondered) followed by that "dance or else" beat is the bomb.

"She's Always in My Hair" -- Prince's knack for programming yields another winner, with the flanged "shh-shh-shh-shh," wonderful beat and a hook to kill for. Wonderful.

"Condition of a Heart" -- textbook 1970s Stevie Wonder, dipped in purple.

"Sometimes It Snows in April" -- A similar effect as with "Condition," but it sounds more intimate and elegial. Beautiful.

OK...I guess I'm having a "Poom Poom" day because, once again, that's the first song I thought of. That screeching "What am Eye Gonna Do?" at the beginning of that song just gets me...
