I love the single version of kiss but not the 12" , the beauty of kiss is in its compactness , itsa devastating 3 minute pop gem , the extended part doesnt go anywhere
and that woman nagging at her husband just makes it all a bit silly IMO

I recently heard a bootleg from a 1986 concert and that live version of Kiss sucks compared to the more recent versions. Don't believe me? Track down a concert from the Parade tour and listen to it...

After hearing Tom Jones murder it on that VH1 Divas show even worse than he ever murdered it before, I am definitely ready for a nice long break.

Ah, for the days of ignoranct bliss when I just listened to his music and never read any critique or commentary about Prince. I used to love "Kiss" but I can't enjoy it so much anymore. I never hear it without thinking about how it was reportedly "given" to an associate, then taken back from them and used without proper credit once they came up with the gated guitar sound that is the song's signature. Whatever the truth of that situation, if I were Prince I sure would hate to have one of my biggest hits marred by a story like that.
