PRINCE HEADING FOR A QUARTER OF A MILLION SALES OF MUSICOLOGY IN THE US!!! musicology looks like it may well sell a QUARTER OF A MILLION copies of musicology in the first week in the us!!!! thats not even including the copies given out at the concerts...i am stunned at this figure  | |

Wonderful! I got so happy when I went to Best Buy the other day and Musicology was sold out  ... only angry b/c the next store is 1/2 hour away. But it doesn't matter...I can deal with my concert copy for now

the info comes from the sales coming in, with 51% of sales tallied so far, prince has sold 131,957 copies of musicology so if it can keep up these figures...you do the maths...

the largest % of sales on a new release are on the Tues and Weds of the week, so at 51% the remaining 49% won't be as high...

still, stunning numbers for Musicology. if the sales DO stay similar, add 17.5k and it will settle nicely at number 2, best since batmad was at one 15 years ago. what is MORE surprising to me, is if you scroll down, you'll find a certain very best of, at 24!!!! with 20k plus sales! if it keeps like that prince could have two albums in the top 30! cos very best of is pop catalogue would it get taken out cos its doing so well?! it must do! thats amazing! | |

still, stunning numbers for Musicology. that's not what the 51% means. It means 51% of the totals are in, not 51% of the days. the numbers should be somewhat steady for the other 49% | |
