Did he write and perform all their songs and they just recorded over the tracks?

Pretty much if you listen to the first time cd with the songs get it up,cool basically all the songs take a listen you can hear his voice all over the songs as well as the music to.

I would say Prince wrote all the material for all the albums. The musicians are listed as 'players' on the albums. Jimmy Jam and Terri Lewis were fired/left to produce and play their own music. Which happens to sound a lot like prince music, but that's a different story.
Pandemonium has atleast a couple of songs that were floating around as prince boots for couple years.
Prince songs performed by the TIME.

Almost every song recorded on the Time albums were Prince and Morris. The album with the most input from the members was "Pademonium". Quite a bit of this info can be found in Per Neilsen's books.

HE DID NEARLY EVERYTHING APART FROM THE VOCALS ON THEIR DEBUT, ALSO FOR ICE CREAM CASTLES.
PANDEMONIUM - PRINCE HAD LESSER INPUT, I THINK A FEW UNCREDITED SONGS, BUT HE DID MOSTLY ALL THE SONGS ON GRAFFITI BRIDGE THAT THEY SUNG.

I WOULD DEFINITELY RECCOMMEND THE TIME ALBUMS THEY R GREAT

OMG...I just got finish reading the history of The Time and listening to 'Get It Up'....my mind is spinning.....P is all over that damn song and most of their hits....good lawd...all these years and I never knew that was P singing on those tracks. I think I need to go lay down..

I actually knew what his involvement was. I have never been a huge fan of this off shoot ( I like the girls' stuff). But I am reading every word of this fascinating biography.

thanx for the compliments about my site - my site statistics increases to a new record with your hits. I think I created an acceptable "home" for the guys. It's a real pity that they don't have their own presence at the web.

This is a private project and I did all the things in my very little free time. Many parts were uncomplete / unfinished. Especially the "history" section misses a lot of details after the release of Pandemonium. If there's someone around with additional informations / facts / whatever, I would be very happy to hear from you.

All members of THE TIME know my site and I'm in contact with some of the guys. Sometimes I also got some insider infos - but I'm not always allowed to publish it. For some reasons it was very hard to get more facts about the mysterious "Old Dorgs, New Tricks" project from the mid-'90s. Maybe you can help out with some more information ... ???
