Why isn't anybody talking about The Slaughterhouse or Chocolate Invasion? Shoot! How are these received?

Because most of us have a majority of those songs for years, they're just recently grouped together and named.

Most have been available as part of the music club over the last couple of years. And though I think there are enough good songs to merit a great single album, there's too much tossed-off sounding stuff for two albums. Just my opinion though.

THere have been several posts around on this topic. And also several with the question that you ask.
Look for the threads and you'll see some good discussion from those of us...here's one http://www.prince.org/msg/7/89126 Basically, if you are getting these songs new, they really sound fresh and amazing. They also seem like albums that ought to be released like Musicology...as they are tracked together and seem to have a theme/sound to them all on their own. I actually think that those two albums are really outstanding and are better than Musicology...but I have always liked the non-mainstream stuff better. Christian Zombie Vampires

Yeah, like its been said, a lot of us have had these songs for a couple years and we've already talked about them an awful lot. Something that seems 2 be getting around is that these were originally released as albums, which is not the case. When they were released suring the 1st year of NPGMC, they were released seperately and over the course of a full year. These compilations are more like a Crystal Ball II than anything else. Many of the tracks were originally intended for the canceled "High" album. [This message was edited Sun Apr 25 18:30:35 2004 by getwild007] The Mothership Connection... Lucky for you the search engine sorts posts from least recent to most - you can read all about it with a simple click!

A common misconception nowadays is that you have to be a member of the NPGMC to have access to the downloads. Not true . . . YOU can access the download section too -- it's just that members pay less. Songs are 99 cents (77 cents for members) and albums are $9.99 ($7.77 for members). www.npgmusicclub.com Just click "Access" . . . the green button. Then you'll be in the Musicology Download room. Good luck, and enjoy! [This message was edited Sun Apr 25 19:06:00 2004 by Se7en]

Word!! Besides, the search engine here on the org is not all that good. I have seen people saying "look it up" and done so and found NOTHING!! In general I don't get people complaining about threads- if its old news to you or you don't like the topic (MJ vs P is another common complaint) then just skip the thread. No one is making you read them all!!

Thanks for the responses, I wasn't aware of them being released before through NPGMC, I've become a member after ONA!
