Which Prince Vocal range do u prefer? High, natural voice,or low? Prince is known for his high voice but personally I think his natural and low singing voice are very nice to listen too.....the falsetto starts to get annoying when he stays there too long.....What do you think?
D0n't you think he was rather conservative vocally on this latest record? still great though UNIVERSITY OF MICHIGAN GRADUATE!

lol - I would love to hear him do a whole song in this voice. Or wait, are you talking about the other voice (which I always thought sounded like Tony M - let's not have a whole song like that again - we had enough Tony M)...

I love all of Prince's voices and I think they are part of what makes his recorded work so appealing. You have his natural voices, plus the electronic ones... too cool. I especially like when he layers them in a sort of call and response with himself. Listening to DEAD ON IT right now and its full of it.
All the sisters like it when you lick 'em on the knees!!

D0n't you think he was rather conservative vocally on this latest record? still great though In his early days I thought his falsetto was not very sharp and his lower voice was too undeveloped at the time. I always thought there was a distinct difference between a black falsetto and a white falsetto. Black falsetto sounder richer and fuller, white falsetto sounds thin and nasally like the bee gees. Prince in his early days had a falsetto that sounded like a white falsetto, but as he has improved over the years he has developed a fantastic, beautiful, rich and very distinct falsetto of his own. His normal voice has gotten excellent also. I think overall he has, as I've said before, finally joined the group of elite singers in history. If you think his falsetto is irritating, listen to Gotta broken heart from the Vegas Ona dvd. It's impossible not to be overwhelmed by this pristine performance, one of the best I've ever seen from anyone.

Sometimes I can't stand Camille. I most prefer his sexy low, deep and natural vocal performance. Sometimes Camille is overdone.
I must say this, however. Prince has one of the greatest and most recognizable speaking voices. It's weird that he doesn't like his voice. It always cracks me up when people dry to imitate him! LOL!!!

LOL!!! Great observation, I've always thought Prince had the most interesting speaking voice i've ever heard, it's like all of his vocal ranges coming out at the same time. One interviewer described it as more than one voice from the same person. His speaking voice is every bit as charismatic and attention getting as his singing voice.
