Besides from Jazz musicians, music scholars and music critics not considering it Jazz, you won't find it in the Jazz section of record stores either. All that combined should convince you that you may be wrong.

I'd loooooveeee if Prince recorded a jazz album. My fav is Xpectation. I would like a jazz album with lyrics, great guitar performances, a lot of piano parts...

And of course, apart from that, Prince owes us a rock album, plenty of strong electric guitars.
