Ya'll act like ain't nobody went to the Wrecka Stowe!!!

In the midst of our debate about whether or not giving away the Musicology disc at the concerts will help or hinder sales, ya'll forgot one important thing: people actually ARE going to the stores and buying Musicology. I live in the D.C. area [o.k. maybe not a good example] and went to 2 different stores in N. Virginia and two Best Buys near Laurel and Bowie, Maryland. No Musicology!!! I had to go to a second-rate Circuit City just to get the LAST copy of the album.

In addition, remember that payday was Friday so I'm sure that this weekend sales will tell the story...NOT just the concert tickets...

I picked up the CD Tuesday eveing in Bowie and they only had two copies left. Prince is really popular in the Washington/Metro area.

I bought my album Tuesday. I'm from Houston, Texas and at Best Buys down here, all Prince Cd's are on sale. Well anyway, went to the first BestBuy near me and there were only a few copies of Musicology left. On Thursday I went to the other one closet to me(more selection) and they had 1 copy left. Prince is apparently popular in the area. biggrin

I went back to Best Buy last night and I there were only 3 or 4 copies left and they were scattered in the store. And as I found one of them, a guy came over and took it from the rack. Truth is, this CD is flying out of the stores, concerts or no concerts.
I'm not a fan of "old Prince". I'm not a fan of "new Prince". I'm just a fan of Prince. Simple as that
