Xpectation - I'd forgotten how good this is... I listened to this CD on the way to and from work yesterday - my new car has the best sound-system I own, and this album sounded great on it. I'd forgotten how much I enjoy this.
The quality seemed a little 'muddy' - not sure if this is intentional in the recording, or if it comes from the low-bitrate mp3s - anyone know if the new NPGMC downloads of it improve the soundquality at all? There's also a rumor on housequake.com that Prince has met with Blue Note records about releasing an album of instrumentals before the end of the year - people there seem to think that would be Xpectation. Anyone here heard that rumor? I'd prefer a new album (I just love hearing new music), but this deserves to be heard by a wider audience. Some great stuff on this... | |
