SIRENS on If I Was the Man In Ur Life? Every single time I'm blasting this song in my car & the song gets about 2:20 in I start looking for the popo   There's a sound that makes me think I'm hearing sirens - it's very brief but the shit gets me every single time!  It's during the hook where he says, "I'd treat you right" & it happens earlier @ 1:17 but its lower, harder to hear. Only the one @ 2:20 gets me scared.
Anybody else do a swine check off that song?

Actually, I think you're hearing what guitarists refer to as "string squeak." That's a sound that often happens while changing positions along the neck (say, from one chord to another). It's really audible on "Temptation," "after the first verse and right before Prince sings "Mine." | |
