Pink Cashmere....like butter Pink Cashmere is one of Prince's most underated songs. He did something quite unique with this one...it has a sound which is so smooth and unobtrusive that it can be listened to OVER and OVER without getting boring. Such a sweet sweet smooth flow, it's hard not to love this one.... | |

It's great...but it's a pity he tried to rewrite it years later and turned out the solid festering turd that is "Underneath the Cream"

I fucking love Underneath The Cream. And while I can see why people see similarities between it and Pink Cashmere, I don't think UTC is anywhere close to being a "rewrite" of PC.
If I had to choose between the 2 songs, I'd take Pink Cashmere...but don't think I don't fucking adore me some Underneath The Cream...it was basically all I listened to back in....when did it first surface? Way before it was ever released on the club...like I think right after the When Will We Be Paid and U Make My Sunshine downloads were put up, before the first month of Year 1. It was tacked on at the end of Brother Jules' Remix Experience, wasn't it? Anyway. One man's Underneath The Cream is another man's Soul Sanctuary (BLECCH!). No confusion, no tears. No enemies, no fear. No sorrow, no pain. No ball, no chain.
