I think he kind of dispanded the revolution after the Parade album. Some of the songs on Sign 'O The Times were recorded with them and some of them appeared on it, but that was really the first album without them-as far as I know wink

PRINCE HAS SO MUCH MUSICAL DEPTHS THAT HE MUST CHANGE THOSE AROUND HIM, IT ACTUALLY DIDNT GO FROM REVOLUTION 2 NPG, THERE WAS A BAND IN BETWEEN THOSE 2, THEY HAD NO OFFICIAL NAME BUT IT WAS FROM LATE 86 TILL 88, SHEILA ON DRUMS, MIKO WEAVER ON GUITAR ETC, THERE HAS ALSO BEEN SEVERAL VERSIONS OF THE NPG, AS U MAY SEE THE 1991 VERSION IS DIFFERENT THEN WHAT WE HAVE 2DAY, PRINCE WILL ALWAYS CHANGE MUSICIANS, I BELLEVE 4 MORE ENERGY AND CAPABILITIES, HE WILL CHANGE MUSICIANS IN THE FUTURE REST ASSURED, BUT U CAN ALWAYS COUNT ON THE FACT THAT THOSE HE EMPLOYS WILL BE TOP NOTCH, I DONT BELIEVE THAT ITS EVER PERSONAL OR DONE WITH ILL WILL, JUST A CHANGE OF PACE, HE OFTEN KEEPS IN CONTACT WITH OLD BAND MATES, AND SOMETIMES EVEN POSTS THEIR INFO ON HIS SITE, BUT I NEVER GOT A CHANCE 2 SEE THE REVOLUTION LIVE, (B4 MY TIME) BUT IF U THINK ABOUT IT THEY PROBALY WOULDNT HAVE FIT INTO ALOT OF WHAT PRINCE HAS BEEN DOING THE LAST COUPLE OF YEARS,

After the Revolution was disbanded after the last Parade concert, the Lovesexy band was formed, the lovesexy band was their unofficial name, referred to this name by Prince himself on several occasions..... they were together until about 1989 ? until the end of the lovesexy tour in Japan..

then her started forming his New Powere Generation band which has been through at least 3 major changes since then....
