Wow, that's crazy right there but I shouldn't be surprised. I went back to the Best Buy near my Military Base in San Diego and it is selling really well. I saw 3 empty shelves for Musicology and it looked like it was selling slightly more than Mario Winans CD was. I brought another copy for a friend and the guy at the register immediately told me, "Prince is back!" as he rang it up for me. I told him about the CD and I told him NOT to compare it to his 80's work. He said he really liked the song Musicology and that he would buy the CD thanks to my recommendation. He also told me that he has seen 5 to 6 people buying this CD a day. I tell you, I'm having such a ball being a Prince fan right now.

Peace
I'm not a fan of "old Prince". I'm not a fan of "new Prince". I'm just a fan of Prince. Simple as that

um, sweetie, the first few weeks of a new release's on sale are usually just that...ON SALE! lol remember that DOUBLE cd...i think it was called, um, Speakerboxx/The Love Below. you know, the one that went 6x platinum? yeah, see, i bought that for 10.99 at best buy. it's called incentive and it works in promotion.

thanks for playing. try again.

Who are these people who are hating on Prince? The single is a hit, the album is a hit, and the tour is a hit. And still there are people here ranting and raving about how bad the album is. Saying it won't get airplay when it is played everyday on the radio. Some people insist on being miserable and trying to make everyone her miserable. But it won't work because, regardless of what they say, Prince is hot.

i love seeing the reviews and watching prince get some props but really, it ain't about that for me. i just really dig the cd. i've never gone on anyone's thread and dissed them for liking, or disliking, any particular prince release. i think it is very odd that some people take pleasure in that. like, ok, you do/don't like it. we get it. why try to insult people? it only makes them look like mindless twats. shrug to each his/her own i guess.

The single is a hit

Okay, I love Prince and want the song to be a hit, but how can you say this as fact?

Have you seen it on any chart that would determine it's an official mainstream hit?

I don't think it is.
