We'll do one song a day. Since this looks likely to be the next single, I figure it's time to write your own video script for Call My Name. What could the video look like?



My vote goes for mimicking D'Angelo's Untitled (How Does It Feel?) video exactly, only with Prince fully clothed in his scarlet suit.

Prince would be getting fucked in the ass by Larry Graham, while singing "Call My name".

Here's the scenario... P is recording "Call My Name" in his basement studio while Mani is getting kidnapped upstairs. He can't hear her call his name because he's wearing headphones in the soundbooth while singing and playing piano. In the middle of the song he finds a ransom note and notices it is in Mayte's handwriting! He rushes over to Mayte's place just in time to witness a cat fight between Mani and Mayte. He gets turned on and they end up having an awesome 3 way and they sing the chorus together between their screams of passion.

How's that?

That's fine, and plenty of them have made very astute observations. I've even, gasp, agreed with a few of the things you've said.

I don't know about a video for Call My Name...but ICPC could have a tigh at computer animated video. The song is so cartoonish it would be way too fitting. They could actually have doris glowing and show a bath with a ton of champagne in it...all kinds of stuff. That song is cartoonish as phuk.

Here's the video to Call My Name.

It begins with Prince, surrounded by clueless decisions, sat at a desk, trying to think of a good idea for a song. Suddenly, Mani joins him and suggests that he simply writes a song using the tired formula that he's previously used for Adore, Scandalous, Insatiable, Hate U, and Saviour.

Prince agrees and the rest of the video shows tacky shots of him and the band larking around in the studio, with his band trying to convince him that the commercial success of Musicology will be ruined by releasing this type of song which clearly doesn't appeal to the masses, as TGRES and Hate U proved.

The video climaxes with Prince putting the sticker on the album that hilariously dares to predict that Call My Name will be a 'smash hit' single.

As the song fades away, there's a shot of Prince realising that something a lot more radio-friendly would have been a better choice of single. And he and Mani play naked Twister.

It focuses on Prince just with a grand piano with the top open. The camera spins around at various angles, while visual interpretations of some of the lyrics are played as if from a projector on the top of the piano. Things like the FBI searching into his house, some couples together in other parts of the world while wars rage on, etc.

Then I'm shown having sex with Mani to end the video.
