I received a report that people were protesting in front of the arena before the Knoxville show. Is this accurate? Why were they protesting?

I got my brother tickets for that show. He called me on his cell phone outside the venue and told me that there was some protesters. He didn't ask what they were there for, but he said one of their signs said: "Shame on U-T". The university there goes by UT as in University of Tennessee.

I know that whenever we have a big event down here in south florida, you'll see some people out picketing something. Usually about zoneing issues, educational funding cuts, etc... Usually has nothing to do with what's going on. People usually gather at crowded places like that to hand out information fliers and such.
