Humble Pie has never tasted so sweet

Sorry mods if this is the wrong forum or if you feel Ive startd a fresh thread needlessly , Ive been away all week long so Ive not been able to contribute to previous discussions .

I really had pretty much written Prince off , not having liked anything at all ( and I mean anything ) since The Gold Experience . People asked why do I hang around the org if I didnt like Prince anymore , well , in an answe I still consider myself a fan despite not liking Rave , One Nite Alone or The Rainbow Children .

I was standing in the record store on Monday , debating whether to buy the new album or not , could I really face another disappointment or not ? I took a chance picked and it up .

Musicology really is fantastic ( Personal opinion warning incase you are gonna flame me ) sure there are a few bad tracks on there as there are with most albums but it really is a triumph . It feels like Prince has come home ( for me anyway )

Much love yes Sunny Funny Face

Another fan back in the fold!

I was exactly where you are when Come was released, his first since ATWIAD that I didn't buy the first day of release. I didn't like the symbol album at all when it came out (although I subsequently grew to like most of it), and had pretty much written him off then. So there I was dithering about whether or not I should 'waste' money on the latest effort, decided to, loved it, and thought ok, I'll never write Prince off again. Which I haven't (even after The Railway Children).

It's great when a new album reawakens your interest !

As for Musicology, I like it too, I've been listening to it every day since I got it, and I think it's a grower.

Let it grow, let it grow,
Let it blossom, let it flow ! lol
Lemmy, Bowie, Prince, Leonard. RIP.

Hey, man, it's all good. You gave your opinion and never apologize for it. At least you said you didn't like those albums, you didn't call them crap or trash. I'm glad you like the new album.
