Hi,

I wanted to invite you to view a painting I recently completed of my hero, Prince! This piece was initially commissioned by the city of Columbus to be presented to Prince himself when he visited on tour last week, but due to some miscommunication, the painting was never able to be presented and I didn't receive payment for my work. This was unfortunate because I put my heart and soul into painting it, so I decided to list it on ebay in the hopes that would find a good home with another Prince fan. I've created numerous commissioned works for people in the entertainment industry, but I was especially excited about the prospect of being able to meet Prince. Anyway, I'm still extremely proud of the painting, and I'd love to know what you think of it. I used the image from his tour promotional materials and created my own pop-art influenced background. It's a bit crap isn't it...? you should have traced it. or just taken the origonal picture to snappy snaps and had then blow it up to A1 size. i really feel for you.

Pretty good, brought out the spanish look in him. I love all the crazy portraits of him done in ROlling Stone magazine for their album reviews over the years... (I guess they stopped after Lovesexy)

or did they? Was there a portrait for Diamonds and Pearls?

The didn't stop! There's one in the current Rolling Stone, in fact . . . the one with Uma Thurman and Quentin Tarantino on the cover. There's a caricature of Prince, in a red suit, and on his shoulder is a frog with a crown on. There is also a glowing review on the next page . . .
