I walked down the aisle by myself to a looped edition of "Venus De Milo". There wasn't a dry eye in the church.

I got married the other week. I wanted some Prince in there, but not too noticable.

While we signed the register, we had "arboretum" playing,

Then, through the meal, I had an 80min disc playing in the background, which was a slow megamix of tracks from News, Xpectaion, Karma Sutra and other tracks like Venus De milo.

Seemed to go down well.

Other "nods" included the deep purple tie, waistcoat and bridesmaids.

Not married yet but have had way too much time to think about this... so here goes...

I just got married last week and we had SOUL SANCTUARY at the reception. Of course the DJ also played KISS later, but there was nothing I could do about that!!

A friend played Purple Rain for us on the piano when we lit the unity candle. It was also the last song of the night at our reception

I got married in 2001--we had "Adore" as one of the reception songs.

Our wedding was purple(lilac) and silver with moon & star confetti. It was a beautiful "Prince wedding". It lasted longer than the marriage! I always said I wanted a wedding, but not necessarily (sp?) the husband!

My girlfriend and I, if we decide to get married, have decided "Forever in my Life" is gonna be on at some point during the night.

I almost went with "Saviour" for the first dance. But I couldn't stop mimicking the guitar parts.

We didn't have any during the service, but I had some during the wedding dance: "Let's Go Crazy (extended)", "1999", and "Partyman (video mix)".

We were married to "Adore" of course. What else could it have been?

Got married in 2000 after meeting my wife in AOL's Paisley Park chatroom in 1994. Our first dance song was Damn U. We also used Stevie Wonder's Overjoyed during the ceremony.

My partner and I are planning our ceremony.

My choices are "Savior", "Forever in my Life", and "Shhhh". My boy can't dance so I can just hold him close through these selections and let the music and lyrics move us.

if i ever get lucky enough 2 find some1n and get there, i would play his remake of "betcha by golly wow" when she's walkin down the aisle. then pause it when he gets 2 the monolouge, then turn it back up as we said "i do"... but the 1st 2 dances would go 2 she loves me 4 me and most beautiful girl in the world....

The wife and I got married in June of 1992 and we walked up the aisle at the end of the ceremony 2 "Diamonds and Pearls" which was our theme song at the time.
