It's still boring.

if sales keep up i think N.E.W.S has a shot at the hot 100 album chart..i dont think it would even go on the pop catalog chart because it's never been on the album chart at all and it's not 2 years old ..interesting

I think that's because Amazon is featuring the CD with Musicology and people who haven't heard Prince in a long time are buying it as well. I don't think they will be too happy with what they're getting compared to what they expect.

I was pretty surprised when I bought it. I had no idea what it was going to be like. I don't dislike it, but it's just not what I expected.

give it a few more listens, then leave it awhile, then listen to it again. your mind will recognise alot more bits. basically it keeps breaking down to act like little songs segments, easier on the mind i guess. i listened to it the other day and forgot how much i like it

as for NEWS being at 77. that is reallyfucking mental! when i checked a few days ago it was 500! so basically its gone 500, 350, 150 and now 77 in the past 4 days! go NEWS! i imagien if everyone hates it amazon will be flooded with bad reviews of it! i dont know why amazon doesnt promote a different album with it. ie rainbow children, which would probably be a better idea. do you think prince has asked for this or something?

I was getting used to NEWS before, but when I heard it playing at the beginning of the LA concert simulcast, it kinda threw the music over the top for me - lookin' at that big ol' lighting rig spider thing for the first time, all the views of the audience, all the anticipatory WOO HOO of the whole thing...that music was purrrr-fect-o. The album's certainly a grower, and for folks who aren't in the know, I think it's a chewy little nugget of a companion to something as poppy as Musicology. I'm glad it's getting some movement over at glamazon.com.

it was nominated for a grammy. Despite that, I bet more people bought it this week than the sum total of those who bought it before. It is surprising, though, that they didn't pair it up with rainbow children.

its supposed to have sold 20k int eh USA, so if it sells that this week, then it should chart in the top 100. prince would have two albums in the top 100! wonder when the last time that was! would be funny if the very best of increased so much that was in too! 3 albums! hehe

The friends I went to the simulcast w/ were like, "Is that his music too?" when they heard it playing before the show. I'm like, "YES, fools!" I swear, you can NEVER sleep on Prince or you'll miss some good shit! Glad it's moving units
