Its at the top of my playlist and On The Couch was a fantastic addition to the album. What do you think of this? Maybe Prince was catering to the Age 5-10 group with the song Life O the Party "goodie for you". It doesn't work for many.. but maybe it would work for kids like "Superfreak" and "Funkytown" worked in the 70s. Yeah I think Life O the Party is really a track that is for that young demo like you said. It is a funky quirky little track. For that reason alone I can see why the old school don't like it. I love the album myself and try to remain open to why some don't. A few people actually put it into words and concepts. I also appreciate you pointing out what they don't like.
