My "review" of Prince's Musicology Artwork I picked up the album and what do ya know.. its actually a very decent packaging.. I dont like the fact that there is no holder for the booklet though.
The front has an opening flap, and the wordfont of Musicology is cheap and cheesy looking, so is the background of the front cover.. It looks very photoshop looking and just isnt a professional job by the art designer.. thats my IMO on the front The Compact Disk front is even worse.. same chessy font, but it looks more stretched.. U have better luck makin one on ure own computer. The inside of the case, and booklet are what is worth it (besides the music) The booklet resembles an actual book front (still has that crap font of musicology though) It looks like he adopted a few of Leonardo De Vinci's drawings and backward handwritings from his notebook. De Vinci's drawings are fascinating, and if u dont know much about him.. go check his life story out.. its very iteresting. The Pictures are great, clean clear and stylish. Got pics of the band, and a few with prince alone. All the lyrics are here.. along with some cool graphs of soundwaves (I dig this cause my major is Audiology.) so aside from the front cover, the artwork is very nice. Dude, I was just looking at the booklet for the first time. I really think the pics are sweet. Did you notice the last one? It's from the Tavis Smiley appearance. The pics of the whole band, and Prince on the dance floor are just great.  | |

I agree...
the outside is crappy but the inside is wonderful....as mama always said... "It's what's inside that counts!" I love the centerfold shot of the band.....Prince looks so damn young!!!!! He looks older on the 'Dirty Mind' band shot than in the new one! Every minute of last night is on my face today.... | |
