Oh, there isnt? And I bet you're still waiting for the 2003 Celebration, huh? 3. Where does he say "Bully for you?"
Sadly, you are right here ... I thought he said bully for you until I read the lyrics...bully is WAY cooler than "goodie," ick. I like the CD, but besides Musicology, Life 'O' The Party, What Do U Want Me 2 Do Girl? and Reflection... these songs all sound like other songs he's done before. Like it or not, LOTP is one of the few, newer sounding tracks on the disk.
Ohmigod you are SOOOOO right. WDUWM2D is totally unlike anything Prince has ever done. Life of the Party is completely 100% different than anything he's ever done. Pimp on the other hand sounds like absolutely everything he's ever done. Hint: The last 4 sentences are as sarcastic as they wanna be. Oh, there isnt? You aren't listening to the track in it's entirety and you're taking it out of context if you think there is a reference to MJ. Just cause he shredded his nose doesn't mean he's the only guy in the world to have a nose job. I guess I have to school you like I did those people over at housequake: You guys need to listen to the song and lyrics a little mo' better. This is a message to his critics, naysayers and rumor mongers. He's bragging that he is still the "Life Of The Party!" you can tell by the lyrics when he says:
“Don't it make you wanna holler? The Life Of The Party ya'll, is still making dollars 25 years to life, the judge sentence me to hard labor with a knife Making cuts for ya'll, keeping the party packed and wall to wall I don't care what they say: "he don't play the hits no more, plus I thought he was gay" But it ain't nothing if it ain't fun, my voice is getting higher and I ain't never had my nose done” Critics have stated he's losing his falsetto and is keeping his youthful looks with plastic surgery... comparing him to MJ in a way. I seriously doubt that this is a reference to MJ, even if the J5 did have a song with the same title. It's mis-translating his lyrics / music that cause all these problems and rumors about him. Next thing ya know you'll be telling me that "When Doves Cry" is about a dove crying and "Little Red Corvette" is about a little red car. I know as well as anyone you can't always take Prince at his word, but he himself stated it wasn't a reference to MJ here: http://www.prince.org/msg...sg_1547858 And I bet you're still waiting for the 2003 Celebration, huh?
Like I told them... if you think this sounds like a reference to MJ, the nest thing you're going to say is: "When Doves Cry" is about a dove crying and "Little Red Corvette" is about a little red car. Ohmigod you are SOOOOO right. WDUWM2D is totally unlike anything Prince has ever done. Life of the Party is completely 100% different than anything he's ever done. If anyone has an editing system on their CPU that wants to post a snippet of the outtro from A Million Days blending into the Life Of The Party drums, i think you will find a much better experience. That bitch really ruined the song. She CANNOT sing. Maybe Prince banged her and promised here a solo for the pooh-nanny? The song is fine the way it is. Post a sample of the songs you produced. You must be a master producer.

Stop fucking with an artists creation. He intended it with the acapella intro, whats the fucking point of editing it out for a "better" experience?

1. There ain't nothing wrong with Candy's vocals. 2. There is no reference to MJ in the song, so get over it. 3. Where does he say "Bully for you?" "So you're having a party... goodie for you!" Or in Prince writing: goodie 4 u. I like the CD, but besides Musicology, Life 'O' The Party, What Do U Want Me 2 Do Girl? and Reflection... these songs all sound like other songs he's done before. Show me a critic who accused Prince of losing his falsetto and you MIGHT have a leg to stand on. But you can't, because nobody's ever said that. People have said lots of things, but nobody ever accused Prince of not having a fucking high-ass voice!! It's part of why he fell so out of favor...so many people, especially straight guys, just could NOT handle it in the 90's...now, thanks to Outkast and Missy and a whole bunch of other factors, it's more accepted again. But I digress. MJ on the other hand has DEFINITELY experienced a lowering of his voice...a quite drastic one, even over the last decade. And then there's the fact you're ignoring, which is that MJ had an "infamous" quote about a year ago in which he said that he had only had ONE nose job (which we all know is a bold-faced lie) and that it was only done in order to raise his voice back to where it was. So you're a big Michael fan, eh? Ain'tcha got more important stuff to worry about? Don't be so ignrrrnt....HE he... No confusion, no tears. No enemies, no fear. No sorrow, no pain. No ball, no chain.

easily my least favorite track. sometimes i skip it and other times i feel it. it is the only song that i ever skip on the disc. its not that i don't like it...more like i don't like its placement on the cd. between a million days and call my name? what was he thinking? and that opening...um, er...screech. no. i'm not crazy about this song. i do like the middle bit though...the half sung-half rapped kinda thing...that's cool.

3. Where does he say "Bully for you?" "So you're having a party... goodie for you!" I reckon he does say Bully for you, but the transcriber for the booklet made a mistake (read that as another mistake). After all, "Bully for you" actually makes sense. "Goody for you" means nothing.
