Musicology (the song) - only Prince on insturments??? Hey y'all,
having listened to "Musicology" (the song, not the album), I kind of doubt Prince plays all the instruments as is claimed in the booklet. To my ears, it sounds as at least a little bit of real brass is in there, and since when does Prince play these? Or is it all sampled? What's your opinion... |

The drum track is a cut up (Pro Tools) version of Blackwell playing a groove. There are real horns on there, courtesy of M, C, and G. There are no samplers around that can imitate the intonation, sound and phrasing of a section like that. | |

Then it would be safe to assume it was all Prince, it's only indicated if otherwise. | |
