This is one of the quirkiest, funkiest things he's done in so long. (The show started in State College with the band coming out to a tape of this over the PA - It sounded SO cool, with everyone dancin' and clappin'...)

Anyway, Call My Name will NOT capitalize on all these great reviews and tour momentum. All the public has heard from him in 10 years, (if at all) are slow jams. It would make a fine 3rd single, but he hasn't brought the funk in a single in forever. ICP&C would be a welcome addition on MTV and BET, and the video could be legendary - if Prince would let his humorous side be shown to the masses.

Prince really needs somebody to physically restrain him from releasing Call My Name - The fate of the free world depends upon it...Thoughts?...

As a rule, I prefer all the uptempo Musicology tracks to the slower ones...ditto, I say bring the funk Prince!

I just can't get into that song. The beat isn't that good and that "chips and whips" crap is corny to me. I hate to say it but Prince's dance tracks are weak these days. I like most of the songs except for this song and Life O' the Party. The drum tracks on these sound like they were done on my uncle's Casio keyboard.

Call my name isn't my favorite, but it's a classic sounding r&b song. I do agree that ICP&C should be a single but call my name will do fine as well. It's certainly a better choice than some of the other songs like If I was the man in your life or life of the party.

I,C,P,&C is so boring and dry that if it was a single it'll just sound like all the other boring songs on the radio. Only if he could make a funky single like 'YEAH!'.

I think A Million Days should be his next single. It's got that U2 kinda sound that has great radio potential. ICP&C is cool, but I agree it would come across as Prince trying to be like Outkast, Andre 3000 etc (even though we all know he started that sound anyway )
