Downloading Prince... Hi, my name's Nick. I have dial up internet (no, I don't need your pity, please) and I want to download Prince music.
I used to live in the UK where I had beautiful broadband, and downloaded lots of stuff from Kazaa (small club stuff, new year's eve at PP, celebration tracks etc.) and have quite a lot of what was doing the rounds on kazaa around 18 months ago. Firstly, is there that much new stuff on there now? By this I mean live material, perhaps from recent gigs? Also, considering I am on dial-up, what site is the best for downloading Prince music? (based on how good the site is couple with how much Prince stuff is on it). Right now I'm on overnet. It seems it's not as good as the old days on Kazaa where I managed to get about 20 CDRs worth of stuff before coming out to Thailand. Any help would be greatly appreciated. First person to respond will receive a signed Rick Astley mechanical pencil, eraser and super cool transfer!

Check out the Musicology Store at www.npgmc.com - beyond that, you're on your own, Amigo.

You can download over 56K, and in theory you get the same files (no sound degradation because it's a "file"), but here's my only worry for you:
NPGMC is not always a stable site or service. I'd hate for you to start downloading ONE song, then your service crashes or is interrupted . . . NPGMC will not know the difference if you've downloaded ONE song or the WHOLE album. See my point? They're very hard to work with, and I doubt would reimburse you if something bad happened. Having said that, you could always try. But it IS a risk. Good luck.
