LOOKS LIKE "MUSICOLOGY" ALBUM IS GOING TOP 5 IN BOTH US AND UK.

the strongest promotion in years for a new prince album makes it look likely that he will debut in the top 5 in the uk album chart. if this happens it will indeed be his highest position since "the gold experience" in 1995. it is also looking good for a top 5 place in the us.
...
...i think the time is right for prince to make a commercial comeback as music needs him to have a more prominent place with all that is happening in the industry to remind everyone what true musicial talent actually is..
...
...he can be mainstream for a year or two and then go back underground and make "rainbow children part 2" to keep his artistic side happy or whatever he fancies. smile

what are you basing this on? promotion alone? or are the first day sales in the uk registered already?

i'm just gonna stick to the "wait and see" motto because promotion doesn't mean a thing. can you say american life, invincible, or damita jo? all three had considerably disappointing sales regardless of their massive ad campaigns.

He could keep goin mainstream (as far as it can go for him at this point) And he could easily be releasin ("rainbow children pt2.. ect.. those type of albums) on his website every now and then and the hardcore fans will no doubt purchase live shows, studio from the download.. especially at the price and quality it is given.. I dig it and will buy HIS music through his site.. I draw a line if he starts puttin other artists in his musicology store..

I agree.

As I've said before, this album has the most consistant quality of tracks from 1 to 12. Nothing wild, risky, or diversely creative, yet all high in quality and musicianship and with all tracks sounding like they belong together on the same album. A recipe that Prince rarely serves up.

The only other time that Prince has produced a more commercially appealing, or received album was the great Purple rain. Then once everyones attention had been commanded, we were shown the true glory of a creative genius and presented with the original and inventive ATWIAD, which again was just a stepping stone to ready and open our minds to artistic masterpieces yet to come. Parade, SOTT, Lovesexy!

If its true in the saying that History repeats itself then everyone get ready....

This is the Second coming!
