didnt andre3000 name this as his favourite ever song? to me it doesnt sound like anything ive heard of the time! was it originally meant for the time then prince decided to princify it? like, the whole synth thing is so weird and offbeat, its amazing. but it dont sound like the time to me! | |

I think you mean D'Angelo, it says in the Crystal Ball booklet that he said it was his favourite bootlegged song. As for sounding the like the Time, I dunno, I could hear Morris singing it, it's obviously tongue in cheek - but fits in with Morris' narcisstic persona, and remember it was recorded around the time of the release of Parade/UTCM, which I guess is where the inspiration comes from - it could be Morris or Christopher singing, they are both Prince-made characters.
