In the USA Today on Wednessday the Hot Site is www.npgmusicclub.com http://www.usatoday.com/t...tsites.htm
Musicology His name is (usually) Prince, and he is funky. He’s also one of the artists most willing over the past decade to take chances with both the Internet and the music industry’s way of doing business, so we’re interested to see how his latest venture – his own artist-controlled download service – shapes up. The Purple One will offer tracks from himself and, soon, other artists for 99 cents a throw; his insistence on releasing his material on his own label puts him in a unique position to blaze trails for artists online. It also doesn’t hurt that he can still blow the doors off most performers working today. — HSS Here I am, you lucky people!

And these are featured as well! Forestry Images This joint project of The Bugwood Network, USDA Forest Service and the University of Georgia has as its overall objective 'to provide an accessible and easily used archive of high quality images related to forest health and silviculture, with particular emphasis on educational applications.' The material, compiled from locales around the world, is searchable by common name as well as scientific classification. Most significantly for those putting together school reports or the like, the site states, "The photographs are in this system to be used.” Their generosity is appreciated. — FBC Origami Kaiju Learn to turn a piece of paper into a miniature Godzilla with this ancient Japanese art form. If nothing exciting is happening at work or at some colorless event, you might just have to get the fun started all by your lonesome: Nab a napkin – or better, a particularly boring spreadsheet and start folding. The site’s instructions, though complex, are clear and easy to follow. We cannot, however, vouch for whether your personal dexterity and talent will take you clear to scary-monster verisimilitude. — BSch | |
