Bruce is doing just fine, there's no need to "pit" them against each other. We did enough of that in the '80s....or *I* did, anyway....
BRUCE SUX PRINCE RULEZ!!!!!

Well...if this was just Bruce Springsteen Vs. Prince, Prince wins in almost every possible category. Bruce's songwriting after say 1987 has been usually horrible, save 4 about maybe twenty songs. Honestly, a bunch of Bruce's songs R horrible when it comes 2 the music, but the lyrics tell a story in a seemingly honest way. If u like what Bruce is doing, then his concerts R better than Prince. In 3 hours, Bruce Springsteen CAN SING EVERY SINGLE LYRIC 2 EVERY SINGLE SONG...even if he changes the music, HE SINGS COMPLETE SONGS!!!!
THAT'S THE only thing Prince could learn from Bruce. Can U imagine Bruce Springsteen stopping halfway during "Born To Run" singing about Players?..Prince ruined "Forever In My Life." He hasn't sung this in a major show like this since the SOTT tour...and he ...oh well...as much as I hate 2 admit it...a medley filled hits show by Prince is better than anything Bruce Springsteen can do. But if u like Bruce as much as Prince, his concert is more satisfying..but I just can't sit through 3 hours of Bruce anymore..2 many crappy songs.

Are you insane? Firstly, I like both artists a lot. Mainly because they are true artists. And now they are even label mates. Bruce sold over 500,000 copies and debuted at #1 with "The Rising", which is a great album. I would suspect that a lot of Bruce naysayers haven't even heard the album. The Grammy Awards screwed Bruce last year, much in the same way him and Prince got duped in 1985(they were both up for album of the year, Born In The USA and Purple Rain. They lost to Lionel Richie. Both albums still sell very well today, while Lionel can only sell Commodores related hits compilations) And he had the number 1 tour of last year. He sold out 10 nights at Giants Stadium! I hope Prince can debut at #1 next week, and the tour looks great, but only a handful of artists could sell out that many shows nowadays, and this isn't 1985.

Dissing Bruce is silly. Bruce remains one of the greatest live performers in rock history, and is certainly at the top of his generation, along with Prince. His last record had a tremendous cultural and commercial impact, and the tour was MASSIVE, way bigger than Musicology. He's earned his respect and then some, night after night.
