HANDS DOWN the BEST, How about you? I’ve been to my share of concerts in my 28 years, covering all boundaries of rock, rap/hip hop and Jazz. But NEVER EVER have I been to a show like last night in Columbus. I am officially never going to another concert because I know it could not compare to the energy and entertainment that I saw and felt. Well maybe if it was Prince again. Have you ever been to a show that compares with Prince’s concerts.
PS. That was my first Prince show. Kirk: "KHAAANNNN! KHAAANNNN!"

I'm glad that the show rocked for you. I saw the LA show on the big screen, and it was fantastic. Musicology(the song) thumps live.
To me, nothing will surpass the last celebration. Especially the acoustic set. If prince.org were to be made idiot proof, someone would just invent a better idiot.

wish I had a better memory...All I remember from the acoustic set from the celebration is when he broke out with "Don't Play Me".
My jaw dropped, and I was mesmerized therest of the night... If I could just remember..... Now ...see, that's why I want a DVD of Celly 2002. So...how's everybody doing?

Unfortunately, they only filmed one night with multiple cameras at the Celebration. It was the second night that the played the Rainbow Children/Xenophobia set. My very first Prince concert was in 1996, the "Jam Of The Year" show (first time around, outdoor venue). I was so overwhelmed, and had such good seats, I actually had tears of joy throughout the whole show.
I was so impressed. The only thing that soured that experience (not Prince's playing) was this: before the last encore, they were trying to hang this "curtain" for a lightshow. Well, that's what I think was happening. It wasn't working, and he didn't come back out. No biggie, because what I saw was amazing enough . . . Same JOTY concert, second time around -- the show itself was a little familiar to me, but after the house lights came on and over HALF the people had left, Prince and Larry (and crew) came back for another little mini-concert of oldies covers! The BEST show I've ever seen? Have to say, it was a Lenny Kravitz "Universal Love" tour. Again, SAME outdoor venue.
