...i'm confused here by what William Hung means to Prince or what that was supposed to represent... it seemed to be an awkward tangent in the article?

What does Prince think about William Hung? He's saying the guy is shit & the fact that he's even being released is a joke - the industry is a joke...

Thank you!! I mean, he's pushing it as usual (only Prince could look at you with a straight face and tell you "Sexy MF" was strictly about feminism ) but he makes such a good point, one that's so often ignored. "Sexuality" is one of my favorite social-commentary songs by Prince, but people do tend to focus on the sensational/raunchy side. They're all a buncha double-drags who teach the kids that love is bad Half of the staff of their brain is on vacation! I still wanna be in the New Breed... [This message was edited Fri Apr 16 8:28:58 2004 by FunkMistress] I am the New Breed "Stand up everybody, this is your life Let me take u to another world, let me take u tonight U don't need no money, u don't need no clothes The Second Coming, anything goes" Thank God for "Sexuality". One time in my apartment was listening to this song and dancing in my underwear. When the line hit "don't need no clothes"....off came those underwear and I bounced along in naked glory 2010: Healing the Wounds of the Past.... http://prince.org/msg/8/325740

Ms. Sunshine, you are brilliant. That was my first thought as well. It seems that there are several people who agree with you after that. A good joke has several parents! lol. Keep up the humor girl! Put me down with those that followed your joke. It is truely BLUE STEEL! The expanded version of my book PRINCE and The Purple Rain Era Studio Sessions 1983-1984 was released in November 2018.
