100 years from now how will prince and his music be viewed?

I'm wondering what you think musicians and historians will say about prince? Will his music be played like Beethovens is?

I dont think his music will be discussed much but i think people will be saying "god, prince looks sooo well for his age. What is he now, like 150yrs old and he still looks like he did in his heyday."!
You do as I say

I love these replies. He might end up like the Alfred Hitchcock of the music biz... ground breaking, but it all seems like "old hat" because of all the imitators that copied all his stuff over the years. Some people will say "Prince did that 100 years ago" and others would say "Who gives a shit?" Also at least a half dozen new music genres will be born in the next 100 years. Tastes will be quite different from what they are today.

nod Agreed.

If there is any remainder of civilization, Prince, MJ and others will still be recognized. It'll all be "dusties", but still in circulation, at least.
