Well ... I just heard 'The Dance' (GRRREAT song !), which I heard people around here compare with the 'Emancipation' sound. well, I find that's not really the case ... With its heavy drum-programming it reminded me much more of songs like 'Madrid 2 Chicago' & 'Breathe'.

So ... I wonder whether this song might have been one from the aborted 'Madrid 2 Chicago' CD ? Anybody else thought the same ?

In fact, I've heard very little speculation about the contents of 'Madrid 2 Chicago' around here(unlike the High-CD ). If we take drum-programming and jazzy sound as parameters, also 'Magnificent' and even 'What Do U Want Me 2 Do' might have been on this CD ...

I, for some reason, really like Madrid to Chicago, its got a growling intensity to it, kept in cool restraint

I don't know why folks are so hung up on the drum programming in "The Dance" when it has that gorgeous melody running all the way through it. Maybe that song has struck a completely subjective chord with me, but I absolutely love it.

Ho ho - don't get me wrong: I think the drum-programming is great! And the melody of 'The dance' is absolutely beautiful. In fact, I rate it as high as 'Empty Room'!

It's songs like these that make me wonder what Madrid 2 Chicago might have sound like.
