I know he plays a Hohner Telecaster, but are there any known customizations? ie what kind of pickups, etc...

Im trying to get as close as possible, so any info would be great.

I don't think he's using EMGs on that Hohner. I'm sure I've seen polepieces. He might be using Fender Noiseless pickups. In fact, I've heard something to that effect from another guitar player.

I think he uses .10-gauge strings, tons of Boss pedals, a Coloursound wah. Not sure about his amp choices, but Guitar Player magazine went into detail on this around the time of the Rave album. Google it, and you'll be sure to unearth more details.
