Ok we have Musicology already and the sticker on the front cover names Call My Name too. If we're going back to the good old days when Prince usually released 4 singles (like on ATWIAD, Parade, SOTT) then I reckon a good pointer would be the other 2 tracks played at the release party, Dear Mr. Man and LifeOtheparty.

If I Was The Man In Your Life is the surprise choice, since it would actually surprise ANY audience and get their attention. It's the only track I haven't heard being talked about here, which doesn't surprise me, but put it in rotation on MTV with a seriously sexy rock video, and bingo. Fuck it, hire Beyonce to bounce on there too. Trust me, I know about these things...

if eye was the man... is the best track on the record IMO. a great choice for a single.....

I think "Illusion, Coma, Pimp & Circumstance", "Cinnamon Girl", "What Do You Want Me To Do", and "The Marrying Kind" would make great videos.

I can see a, Beatle-esque (side 2 of Abbey Road), radioplay sequence with The Marrying Kind-If Eye Was The Man In Ur Life-On The Couch. That whole sequence is great... its like a whole evolution of a relationship..."The Warn Him, Get Her 2 Me, & Get Me Back 2 Da Bed Suite"!

I think the public is ready for an epic single-like-thing again. Why not!?!

Again, this is a wild idea but, if you would have told me on January 1, 2004 that prince would be selling out an all arena tour this year, I would have thought you were nuts!

Anyway, in my skewed world, this would work.
