I'm leaving to go on a LONG road trip to Cleveland tomorrow night. To see Prince and to visit the HOF. I got my tickets with the member pre-sale and things have been smooth sailing ever since.

Except these past two weeks. A week ago yesterday I had to go to the doctor because I injured my back. While I was there, we discussed another injury I had to my knee. My bank fucked up my account royally, and I went 90 dollars in debt.

So.. after I pick up my car from the shop tomorrow, I have to go to an appointment at the hospital with the orthopedic surgeon. Then it's off to go see Prince a few hours later.

Needless to say, my excitement for this concert was completely drained out of me.

... until yesterday. It snowed yesterday. I live in Nashville.. it doesn't snow in April in Nashville. Today here, the high was in the seventies.. gorgeous.. sun shining.. windows down in the car, kids playing outside. Yesterday, it was in the 30's.. snow/ice/sleet mix.

It didn't register to me until this morning.. someone said something about 'the april snow'.. and I prcoeeded to go O.O. That's a Prince song!

After that delayed realization, I suddenly found myself 'happy.' Excited about leaving tomorrow, and more excited about seeing Prince again. Kinda had the feeling like everything is gonna be okay, no matter what happens. I'll make it. Sometimes it really does snow in April.

... and I realize how RANDOM this thread is. But I just wonder if this happens to others too. When all the chips are down.. something trivial (and sometimes Prince related) happens and you feel like it's gonna be alright. I don't mean to sound psycho-obsessive. Like- OMG! PRINCE SAVED MY LIFE BY WEARING RED PANTS! I'LL BE A TEEN MODEL NOW!-- but you know what I mean.

I also realize I'm pretty much unknown here in the threads. I've been an Orger since like.. 95 or 96. The PPML TogDog days.. but I started lurking years ago. Call me old school.
