Glam Slam got a new vocalist!

Hey y'all!!!

Europe's No. 1 Prince tribute-band, Glam Slam got a new lead singer.

His name is Petter Aagaard (25), and is an experienced musical artist,
he has starred in musicals such as "Jesus Christ Superstar" and "Saturday
Night Fever". (I guess he can do all the moves then...)

Roumor has it that Glam Slam is going for the '95 Exodus-look, with a hot,
sexy chick as a backup-singer, groovy samples and a hard-core funk-beat.

Check out www.glamslam.info for more funky information.

I actually just caught Purple Reign last week in Vegas. They were great! The band was pretty good but the Prince impersonator was fantastic. They also went for the '95-era look and had a backup dancer with many of the Prince-Mayte moves from previous TV appearances.

The only disappointment is that they didn't play very much from after '94. In fact, the only post-name-change stuff they did was P Control and Peach...

Well to be honest I didnt reckon much to the original lead singer anyway.
Saw them in Drammen, Norway once and walked out half way through.
The female backing singers were great and so were the musicians but he sounded like a squeaky wimp just winging along to the songs.
Lets hope this new singer is an improvement.

There's a UK "purple reign" band who are absolutely slammin' too. The lead Prince (Thomas Henry) looks more like Morris Day than Prince tho'!

I think Freedom should book these guys for the UK Rave party pt. 2 later this year!

He he... But what's the fun in that? wink

And didn't Prince also refer himself in a third person once? (or twice?)
Anyway, the band is GREAT, and I hope y'all will experience it soon.

Keep The Funk Alive Y'all... cool

We've already booked GlamSlam for the UK Purple Reign Party pt. 2 this year 'dre... But if you can hook us up with the UK PR band we'll certainly consider them for parties in the future... wink

Peace

Freedom.
