Soundscan says 191,000 (Billboard) from Billboard:
Prince's "Musicology" (Columbia), which the artist is giving away along with tickets to dates on his current tour, lands at No. 3 on The Billboard 200 on sales of 191,000 copies. That number includes about 17,000 copies that were given to fans at a South Carolina stop. The set gives the artist his best week on the chart since 1991's "Diamonds & Pearls" (Warner Bros.), which opened at No. 5 on sales of 172,000 copies.

For next weeks figures, how many concert "sales" will be included? What did he do about 4 shows ? If you figure avg crowd of 15,000 . Next week he'll get about 60,000 tacked on to his retail sales. Which maybe enough to make up for the typical second week dip. It could keep him as high as #4 mext week. Of course D12 (Eminem) will sell about 1 million next week

Yeah , concidering D&P had Gett Off and Cream already out (Cream headed to # 1 to the radio charts) it is really amazing.
Somebody knew what they were doing this time around.

musicology needs a huge hit in the next weeks or it will drop at the charts live a stone from the sky. Diamonds and pearls had Get Off, Cream and Diamonds and Pearls that's why the album got huge.

>>musicology needs a huge hit in the next weeks or it will drop at the charts live a stone from the sky<<
Usually , very true. But not this time . With Soundscan counting CDs given at concerts he is guarenteed sales of 30,000-60,000 a week on top of any retail sales. Based on this weeks chart ,that will keep Musicology in the Top 20 for months. A huge radio hit will probalbly get this album to # 1
