I think both, The Revolution and NPG, were great at different eras (I guess SOTT was the first solo P's attempt between them- correct me if I'm wrong... )

Who were the original members of The Revolution and NPG???
Who were they replaced by? When???
Is there any stable band now, since when???
How do you like them???

Yeah, I know the evolution has led Prince to try different sounds, arrangements, mixing and stuff,. but the production and composing is basically HIS.
