I didn't even realize that it's coming out next week! Wow! I've been so busy with school I wasn't paying attention. Anyway, I suspect that if good word of mouth gets out on the CD (I've heard a lot of different views on this forum) that it will help the CD becuase those that went to the show might have good things to say about the CD. Granted, that's what the internet should be doing as well but I think that people that aren't so internet savvy and don't have friends that are downloading might hear things about the CD.

I may not buy the CD via retail. If it just has artwork and a video? I'll have to see. Maybe if there's more songs, longer versions or something. But I really think if he wants people to buy this CD (especailly those casual fans that got this for free) put a DVD of the concert as a bonus and then it becomes the "companion" to the show that he has been saying it is. I'd buy it in a second and have a showing at my house for those of us that went to the theatre. After that show, my friend wanted me to make him a compilation and requested that if I had any live stuff, he'd like to hear that.

It would be a way for the casual fan to own and relive the concert experience (most casual fans won't go seeking out Live in Vegas nor One night alone..but are VERY aware of how powerful he is live) and have the hits live as they were sung for the last time. I think this also covers the idea that was out there (before we found out what Musicology was) of him releasing these reworked versions of his hits.
