Hi' yall

Quick intro: Ive been a Prince fan since my early mid teens in the mid 80s and love a lot of stuff the Prince has done over the years, Im been listening to Purple Rain again in this year of his anniversary and it still stands are one of the best albums Ive ever heard, it still sounds amazing from the vocals to the music to the way he plays the guitar solos. It would be nice to meet other UK fans on this board to as well as you guys internationally...

One question though:

Q: Around 1987 time, Prince met Michael Jackson to discuss dueting on the Michael 'BAD' album track. Ive always wondered how this meeting went? was much discussed? do you guys know the details of what happened at the meeting?? Can you guys give us the details on this?

Quincy Jones commented that he wouldve loved to see this duet happen as if wouldve been so rich with so much energy, I wouldve loved to have seen this too as I can rate both Prince and MJ as hugely talented artists.

As far as this one, the story goes that neither one of them was comfortable with the other singing the first line of the song, which was something like "Your butt is mine".

in P's interview with Chris Rock, Rock actually asks this question. P said that the first line of the song was "Yo butt iz mine..." and he said that he knew he wasn't gonna let Mike be the one to tell him that and he really didn't feel like saying that to him.

I think it was best with wesley anyway, if P would have been in that video, it would have been like him bowing down to jacko. I think he kinda knew that too.

I don't know about that meeting but I love the story about P smacking a ping pong ball into MJ's crotch during a ping pong game
