Which U.S. released Prince albums are out of print? Are there any besides these: The Gold Experience, Emancipation, Crystal Ball, New Power Soul and The Rainbow Children?

Too damn many. The world is a comedy for those who think and a tragedy for those who feel.

I was shocked how many actually are out of print. I went last week to replace my copy of TRC and was heart-broken when the clerk told me that it's not being printed in the U.S. anymore and at this point UK and Austrailia are the only places it's being printed.

Crystal Ball too. check Sam Goody. they often have it on sale for $10, just to get rid of the overstock. same with Emancipation. easy to find for $10, brand new, sealed. Gold and the Black album are really the only two that are a real bitch to find. "Awards are like hemorrhoids. Sooner or later, every asshole gets one."

more than likely you can find copies of all the aforementioned albums (save for the black album, even then there's an ultra-rare chance at seein a copy) at places like cd warehouse or cheapo.

Well nearly all of the singles are out of print as well as all if not most of the protege side projects. And the shame is these have been out of print for so long not even the used bins have them Sheila E, Vanity and Appolonia especially. Jill Jones...GOOD LUCK!
I have seen rarely if at all lately in the stores...You can get them...but I have not seen these on the shelves in a long time For You Prince Come ATWIAD Christian Zombie Vampires

That was my first thought. I checked 1/2 of the ones in the DFW area and they're gone. It pissed me off because I saw a couple of copies of The Rainbow Children a few months ago. It's not even on the Best Buy website. I found the other ones used pretty easily. [This message was edited Tue Apr 13 17:09:11 2004 by psykosoul]

It's been a couple of months since I've been to Best Buy, but the last time I was there there were plenty of copies of TRC. And I thought I saw some at that gawd-awful Tower Records. This post not for the wimp contingent. All whiny wusses avert your eyes.

I wonder if Warner Music need permission to print all these albums again? The one Paisley Park album I always regretted not buying was 'Vermillion' by The Three O' Clock. I saw it on vinyl once (and only once). I've never heard any of it. I've never seen any files on any file-sharing networks either. You can get almost anything off of Amazon.com. Just click on the part where it says "New and Used from $1.99" or whatever. I always buy CDs from those vendors on Amazon. Saves me a bundle.

yes this is very true. i wanted the symbol album and couldn't find it anywhere but it was on amazon.com. i only paid like 7.50 for it. Its worth it. Prince, For You, and News are at Best Buy and Circuit city. For those of you in Richmond, VA u can go to BK Music on Midlothian Tnpk to find the rainbow children, the vault, crystal ball, sign o' the times, and 1999. The gold experience and new power soul, i was lucky enough to already have owned since it came out, although that black album, boy that thing is a mystery to find. if they ever re-release that thing i bet it will sell out like hot cakes. I will forever love and miss you...my sweet Prince.
