andre 3000 inspired by prince when writing "she lives in my lap"?

I just got done listening to speakerboxxx /the love below, which are by far one of the best albums around
and a track by andre struck me
called "she lives in my lap"
throuout the album ive noticed andre doing stuff ive onl seen prince do, racy lyrics,
he speeded up his voice like in If i was your girlfriend
and i wouldnt be surprised if Prince made the beats for some of these songs
hes using live instruments, and playing guitar for majority of his songs(credits)
She lives in my lap sounds a little bit like She's always in my hair
everytime i listen to it i always think of that prince song
i think Andre was probably listening to thats ong while writing it

This is one of the songs that I feel is quite P influenced as well. She's always in my hair is a good comparison.

I have always thought the drum track was very similar to Ballad of Dorothy Parker in it's structure. At least I think of that song when I hear it.

I hear Prince's influence in Spread "I can't read minds, but I can read yours" is said in a pitch-shifted voice. Other songs that remind me of Prince are Prototype and Pink&Blue.

I was gonna say Spread and Prototype too.

Prototype is a hell of a song, probably my favourite from the LP, and Spread sounds like Camille 2003.

She Lives In My Lap sounds like a direct rip of IIWYGF rather than Ballad of Dot, but I get where the thread author is coming from.

Duh.

It's "Dorothy Parker" he's borrowing from, not "She's Always In My Hair" (except maybe in the title).
